It is said that we must look at the past to shape our future. Therefore on 11th September 2015 the boys of Std. VI and on 12th September 2015, the boys of Std. IX were taken for a field trip to Goa Chitra, Benaulim.
The day began with a long journey. As soon as we reached The Museum, it gave our students a proper insight into the lifestyle of the people of the past, their indigenous methods, their craftsmanship, their art and folklore. The students were able to see more than 4000 objects on display supplemented by information on the culture of Goa. After going through the whole museum, the boys were given time to rest and have their lunch together.
The boys had a fruitful experience and gained a lot of knowledge about the past of our own state Goa It was a true way to fill the student’s minds with information more than the text book. The students also thanked their teachers for accompanying them and added that their thoroughly enjoyed the trip.
The students of STD 7 and 8 went on a field trip to Dodamarg, on 1 September 2015. This trip involved trekking up the Kasainath hill. The students along with the accompanying teachers climbed up the hill in stages. Since it was a steep climb rest was required at regular intervals. For those who made it to the summit, it was truly a great achievement. The breathtaking view was like a balm to the aching limbs. The journey downhill was easier. The students and teachers stopped at a spring on their way down. Bathing in the spring was very refreshing. The stop at the spring also served as the lunch break. It is always refreshing to spend sometime in the lap of nature. The greenery soothes the eyes and the fresh air clears the lungs. The students were back on campus by 3.50 pm.
